Daniel Lenard John Brooks enlisted in London into the Junior Para Company in 1978.After completing P Coy in 1980, Pte ‘Danny’ Brooks was posted to C Coy 1 PARA.
He served with 1 PARA on many tours of Operation Banner, and in 1988 was posted to Depot.
Cpl Brooks was then posted in 1990 to, Mortar Platoon, Support Company (SP), 3 PARA. More yours of Northern Ireland followed.
In 1995 Sgt Brooks was posted to Support Weapons Wing, Netheravon as a Mortar Instructor until 1997.
As 2ic of Mortar Platoon, SP Coy, 3PARA, CSgt Brooks went with C Coy 3 PARA to Kosovo in 1999.
Wo2 Brooks military career finished in 2002. He has a daughter and son and has been married to Dawn since 1982.
