Lieutenant Jack Cecil Wilfred Trafford was the son of Thomas and Lilian Trafford and husband of Nellie Trafford, of Sutton, Surrey.He was commissioned in November 1940 and later served with 2nd (Airborne) Bn., Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry.

Lt Trafford took part in the Rhine Crossing, during Op Varsity and was Killed in Action, aged 25 on 24 March 1945.

Originally buried in Hamminkeln, Germany, he was reinterred at Reichswald Forest War Cemetery in Kleve, Germany on 17 April 1947.
