Private Robert Edmund Brownrigg, son of Thomas Edmund and Sarah Brownrigg, of Garston, Liverpool, served with 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion. Robert successfully passed parachute jump instruction at RAF Ringway on course 25. This course ran between 30 August and 8 September 1942. Robert had previously served with The Royal Welch Fusiliers. 

Archive records indicate that Private Brownrigg died in an air crash accident in the UK on 17 November 1942. He is now buried: Grave ref: Sec 8, Gen Grave 1679, Allerton Cemetery, Liverpool (civilian).
