Private James William Benstead, son of George William and Rebecca Benstead, of Walworth, London, served with 7 Platoon C Company 3rd Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Private Benstead died on 17 September 1944, aged 28 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
