Harold Arthur John Goddard was the son of Wilmot John and Florence Eleanor Mary Goddard, of Gowerton, Glamorgan, Wales.After volunteering for airborne forces Lance Corporal Goddard was posted to 6th Airborne Divisional Signal Regiment. He served in Palestine.

L/Cpl Goddard died on 30 May 1946 and is now buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
