Private. Dollah Bin Ali was a member of The 9th Parachute Battalion.

He enlisted into the Royal Army Ordnance Corps on the 20 May 1943. Dollah passed  Parachute Course 89 at RAF Ringway, 28 October to 9 November 1943.

His Parachute Instructors comments: "Above standard, has worked very hard, fast in stick"

Dollah was posted to the 9th Parachute Battalion and took part in the jump into Normandy on the 6 June 1944.

He was wounded and evacuated, but died in Tidworth Military Hospital on the 29 July 1945, aged 20.

Dollah now lies at rest in Harton Cemetery, South Shields, Section 9, Grave 8137. He had 2 brothers, Norman and Osmand.
