Private Leslie Alfred John Higgins, son of John Alfred and Ellen Higgins, of Paddington, London, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the invasion of Italy.Private Higgins died on 10 September 1943, aged 23 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Cassino War Cemetery, Italy.
