Private Robert David Vanden served with C Company, 1st Battalion, The Parachute Regiment (1 PARA) and served with the Battalion on deployment to Northern Ireland (pictured during 1978 tour).He was killed on 21 May 1979 in a parachute accident on an authorised night jump onto Everleigh drop zone.
