Tom Montague, known almost universally as Monty, served with Airborne Forces in the mid to late-1970s.He was a member of 6 Platoon, B Company, The 15th Battalion (Scottish Volunteers) The Parachute Regiment (15 PARA SV) , based in St. Andrews in Fife.

In more recent times, he has become active in the Veteran's Community and is the current President of the Dundee Branch of the Parachute Regiment Association(PRA), recently commenting: 'It is great to be part of the “family” again'.
