Sergeant Roger Malcolm Croft, son of Rodolphus and Mary Elizabeth Croftm of Presteigne, Radnorshire, served with B Squadron, 20 Flight, 1st Wing, Glider Pilot Regiment. He took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Sergeant Croft died on 18 September 1944, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem. His brother, Godfrey Stuart Croft, also died in service.
