Private John Owen Woodcock, son of Charles and Annie Baldwin Woodcock, of Crofton, Yorkshire, served with 7th (Airborne) Battalion, King's Own Scottish Borderers. He took part in the glider insertion to the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Private Woodcock died on 22 September 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
