Private Stanley Dean joined Airborne Forces when he moved to the Army Air Corps in July 1943.He joined the Army to serve with the East Surrey Regiment, and later joined the Queen's Regiment before transferring to the Army Air Corps.

After serving throughout the rest of the war, he was eventually demobbed in October 1946 at Vauxhall, London.

Stanley Dean died in Sydney, Australia during 2008.
