Private Albert Bell was the son of Albert and Alice Victoria Bell, of Scarborough, Yorkshire, and husband of Annie Ruth Bell, also of Scarborough. He served with 1st (Airborne) Battalion, Border Regiment and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.He died on 22 September 1944, aged 31 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
