Corporal Samuel Bevan, son of Thomas and Emily Bevan, of Llangymdr, Brecknockshire, served with 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the invasion of Italy, during September 1943.Corporal Bevan died on 10 September 1943, aged 30 years old. He is now buried at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
