Private Dennis Henry Walter Wise served with 9th (Essex) Parachute Battalion and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 6 June 1944.Private Wise died on 6 June 1944, aged 21 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial near Bayeux War Cemetery, Normandy.
