Sergeant William Thomas Walker initially served with the Royal Norfolks before transferring to the Parachute Regiment. After completion of Parachute Course 82 at RAF RIngway in mid-September 1943, he joined 9th (Essex) Parachute Battalion.He took part in the Normandy campaign, during Op Overlord.
