Harold Clarkson served with the Royal Army Service Corps as a Driver.Driver Clarkson volunteered for airborne forces served. He served with 63 (Airborne) Composite Company RASC in Palestine.

He died on 3 April 1946 and is now buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
