Private David Nelson Mills served with the 2nd Airborne Battalion, Ox and Bucks Light Infantry and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.Pte Mills died on 10 June, aged 32 years old. He left behind a wife, Elsie. He is now buried at Herouvillette New Communal Cemetery, Herouvillette, near Caen, Normandy.
