Private Robert Stanley Ridout served with Army Catering Corps, attached to 225 Parachute Field Ambulance, and took part in the D Day landings in Normandy in June 1944. Pte Ridout died on 7 June 1944, aged 30. He is now buried at Ranville Churchyard, near the War Cemetery, Normandy.
