Richard Hallissy successfully completed his parachute training at Ringway on 13 April 1945. In review of his training it was noted he was “good, fine nerve control, keen”Private Hallissy was posted to the Reserve Battalion before being transferred to the 4th Battalion where he served in Palestine.
He died on 7 October 1946 and is now buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel.
