Les Anderson joined the 7th battalion parachute regiment on 20/7/43 , coming from the 7th Kings Own Scottish Borders.

He left the UK for N.Africa on 11/9/43 arriving on 23/9/43.

He was posted to the 5th para battalion 20/9/43.

Moving to BNAE-S France on 15/8/44 until 28/8/44

Then CMF N Africa 29/8/44-- 6/6/45

During this time his records show he was posted to the 7th US Army on 15/8/44 until 29/8/44

He returned home on 7/6/45 until 20/7/45.

Then onto India from 21/7/45 to 6/9/45

Singapore 7/9/45  until 10/12/45

Then onto Batavia 11/12/45 until leaving for Java on the 7/1/46 , where he stayed until 24/1/46

He arrived In the UK on the 18/4/46 

He was released from the army on 13/7/46
