Lance Corporal Alan Coulthurst Baker, son of Charles Coulthurst and Clara Baker, of Prestwich, Lancashire. He served with 9 Section, C Troop, 1st Airborne Recce Squadron, Reconnaissance Corps and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Lance Corporal Baker died on 18 September 1944, aged 20 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
