Company Sergeant Major William J Harris, son of William James and Margaret Harris, of Pontypridd, Glamorgan, served with 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the invasion of Italy.Company Sergeant Major Harris died on 10 September 1943, aged 26 years old. He is now buried at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
