Sgt Edward Walker in 12th (Yorkshire) Battalion, B Coy. Son of Charles Henry Walker, and of Harriet Walker, of Darlington, Co. Durham. Age 24.
Before volunteering for the airborne forces, he was a member of the Green Howards.
Edward was jump trained at RAF Ringway on Course 69. This course ran between 21 June and 1 July 1943. His jump instructor noted this about his performance:
"Hard working capable NCO and parachutist"
Edward died of wounds whilst being a POW 20 August 1944.
