Private Peter Joseph Lockett, son of George and Florence Lockett, of Northwood, Shropshire. He served with 12th (Yorks) Parachute Battalion, and took part in the D-Day landings at the beginning of the Normandy campaign, during Op Overlord.Private Lockett died on 6 June 1944, aged 19 years old. He is now buried in Ranville Churchyard, Normandy.
