Lance-Sergeant Frederick Charles Davies served with the 12th (Yorkshire) Parachute Battalion and took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy on 5-6 June 1944.L/Sgt Davies died on 22 August 1944, aged 33 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
