Lance Corporal Jack Edmund Bilbey was the son of Charles Henry and Edith Ellen Bilbey, of Willesden, Middlesex, and the husband of Rose Irene Bilbey, also of Harlesden. He served with 1st Parachute Battalion and took part in the North African campaign, during Op Torch.Lance Corporal Bilbey died on 1 December 1942, aged 24 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.
