Lance Corporal William John Beddall, son of William and Mary Susan Beddall, of Highgate, Middlesex, served with 12th (Yorkshire) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the D-Day landings to Normandy, during Op Overlord.Lance Corporal Beddall died on 9 June 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, Normandy.
