Private Michael Roland Banks, son of Malvina Rose Banks, of Paris, France, served with 9th (Essex) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the Normandy campaign in Summer 1944.Private Banks died on 25 August 1944, aged 23 years old. He is now buried at Beuzeville Communal Cemetery, Beuzeville, near Pont Audemer, Normandy.
