Brian John Elmer served with the 3rd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment from 1952-1959 served with The MELF in  The Canal Zone and on Operation Musketeer.

Brian enlisted at first with The Queen's Regiment in August 1952, however 54 days later he joined C Coy, 3rd Bn, The Parachute Regiment. 

In July 1955 he left the Regular Army and joined The Reserves. He served with The Reserves until August 1959.

Brian went on to serve with The London Fire Brigade for 27 years. He served in many stations across North and Central london.
