Sapper John Joseph Davis, son of John and Euphemia C Davis, of Kinlochleven, Argyllshire, served with 2nd Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers. He took part in the Italian campaign.He died on 25 January 1944, aged 24 years old. He is now buried at Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy.
