Private Richard Edward Lee was the son of Urias and Sarah Ann Lee, of Darwen, Lancashire, and husband of Mary Lee, of Darwen. He served with 10th Parachute Battalion and took part in the Battle of Arnhem, during Op Market Garden.Private Lee died on 18 September 1944, aged 25 years old. He is now buried at Oosterbeek War Cemetery, Arnhem.
