Frank Alan Harvey Cresswell enlisted into Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.He volunteered for airborne forces and undertook his parachute training in Italy.
Private Cresswell was posted to 4th Parachute Battalion and served on Operation Manna in Greece.
He died on 27 October 1944, aged 22 years and is now buried at Phaleron War Cemetery, Greece.
