Sergeant Edwin George Baxter, son of Christopher and Nellie Gertrude Baxter, of South Tottenham, Middlesex, served with 1st Parachute Battalion. He took part in the North African campaign.Sergeant Baxter died on 11 December 1942, aged 21 years old. He is now commemorated on the Memorial at Medjez-el-Bab War Cemetery, Tunisia.

He older brother Christopher Baxter, also a Sergeant with 1st Battalion, died in late-March 1943, and is also commemorated on the same Memorial.
