Gunner Reginald Douglas Stratton served with Airborne Forces as part of 4th Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery RA from 1943 to 1946.Gunner Stratton joined Airborne Forces in 1943 to serve with 4th Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery RA. During three years service he took part in the Normandy campaign in 1944, the 6th Airborne response to the German counter-offensive in the Ardennes during Winter 1944-5, and the Rhine Crossing for Op Varsity in March 1945, ending the War after the Advance to the Baltic in May 1945.
