Albert Melville Kean, son of Albert Melville and Mary Elizabeth Kean, of Workington, Cumberland, served with 7th (Light Infantry) Parachute Battalion.He took part in the deployment of 5th Parachute Brigade to the Far East and died on 17 June 1946, aged 26 years old. He is now buried in Taiping War Cemetery, Malaysia.
