Commissioned RAOC from Sandhurst (SMC4/RCC4) in March 74, P Company in December 74 followed by service as platoon commander in 16 Parachute Heavy Drop Company at RAF Hullavington. After disbandment of 16 Para Bde served as ATO in London, home counties and Belfast (1981).Army Staff College in 1987 followed by SO2 G3 training post at HQLF Wilton. Commanded AMF(L) Supply Company RAOC in Bulford, Norway and Saudi Arabia. In early 1992 took over as CO 5 Airborne Brigade Logistic Battalion and deployed Battalion(-) with other elms of 5 AB Bde to Rwanda on Op Gabriel.
After Aldershot came Greenwich (DS JSDC), DCOS 3 UK Div (Bulford, Bosnia and Kosovo), Dir Support Chain Land (DLO Andover) and Comd 42 (North West) Brigade at Preston.
Final tour of duty was as Director Logistic Operations in MoD before leaving to take up current employment as Secretary of Army Cadet Force Assocation.
