51 Parachute Squadron RE

51 Field Squadron RE was reorganised and redesignated as 51 Parachute Squadron (Air Assault) RE in September 1999.

It remained garrisoned in Ripon until 2006 when it relocated to Rock Barracks, Woodbridge.

The Squadron forms part of 23 Regiment (Air Assault) RE , which provides close and general engineering support to 16 Air Assault Brigade, and its operational deployments include: Ops Herrick IV, Herrick VIII and Herrick XIII.
