Airborne Assault MuseumSgt Dennis Smith now moved along the Duitsekampweg and in No 10 he photographed Brig. P.H.W. Hicks looking over his maps. Shortly after this photo was taken, 0730 hrs, Brig Hicks had to go to Divisional HQ to take command, as per Maj-Gen Urquhart's instructions, if he went missing. Hicks took command at 0915 hrs, Monday 18th September 1944.
