Exercise Joint Warrior involved around 1,600 troops training on the west coast of Scotland over a two week period.

Forces from the UK, US, Denmark, Norway, France, Canada, Germany and the Netherlands took part.

The aim of the exercise was to create a task group capable of being deployed to worldwide incidents at five days’ notice.
