Back to Glider Pilot Regiment Photographs

"The Master Race at work", quoted the photographer on his 'dope' sheet. Two German prisoners are chopping wood and starting the fire for a field cooker, to feed their own men who are being held in the tennis courts near the Hartenstein. One of them is a sniper that was captured nearby. They are being guarded by a glider pilot wearing the British MRC (Medical Research Council) body armour. Friday, 22nd September 1944.
