Duitsekampweg, Wolfheze, early Monday morning, 18th September 1944.
Four prisoners taken by the 1st Airlanding Brigade, "a Dutch fifth columnist, captured by Dutch police, a Russian from Kazakhstan and two Poles", is what Sgt Dennis Smith wrote on his 'dope' sheet. The Duthcman was actually Henk Hoogendoorn from the Wolfheze mental asylum, the Kazakh was from Artillerie-Regiment 363, and the two Poles were from an unspecified Kriegsmarine unit. In the background is No 9 Duitsekampweg.
