In brackets is the C/N flown to Arnhem & * means they fought at Arnhem Bridge.
19 Flight, 'B' Squadron, The Glider Pilot Regiment, taken just two months before Arnhem. The ranks have been added at the time of Arnhem and the C/N (Chalk Number) of the glider flown. Most of these glider pilots flew the 1st Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, RA on Operation 'Market-Garden' on the 1st Lift, Sunday, 17 September 1944. The glider pilots orders were to stay with the loads they had flown in, thus 16 of them made it to Arnhem Bridge.
