No 2 Army Air Corps Infantry Training Centre was formed towards the latter stages of World War II and conducted basic training of recruits before passing them onto Depot (based at Hardwick Hall until 1946) and Ringway.
The unit was later known as No 2 (Parachute Regiment) Infantry Training Centre and based in Shorncliffe (Kent) c1945-46, when it is believed to have been disbanded.
