2nd Parachute Brigade Composite Company RASC

The 2nd Independent Parachute Brigade Composite Company was originally intended as a 2nd Parachute Brigade Transport Platoon and 3 Officers and 90 OR’s transferred in from 93 Coy from North Africa. 10 further OR’s(air crew specialists) transferred in from 250 Coy at the same time.

Comprised of a HQ, Transport Platoon, Composite Platoon and Workshops Platoon the unit was equipped with 36 3-Ton lorries, 10 Motorcycles, 2 jeeps with trailers, a 2 seater car, a standard 15Cwt Truck and 15Cwt Water Truck, and Breakdown vehicle.

The designation officially changed to 2nd Independent Parachute Brigade Composite Company RASC in early December 1943. It is believed, that the designation of the unit subsequently changed, to 751 Para Bde Composite Company RASC.
