After contacting a Belgian museum I had the following response:
“What a coincidence, finding an envelope dating from 1941.....
Louis Vervroegen joined the Belgian Forces in Great Britain in mid-1941. He will be stationed in Malvern. In July 1942, he successfully completed his paratrooper training and joined the Belgian SAS company.
This company will be under British command of General McLeod.
As he was not a member of the Piron Brigade, but of the SAS Paras, I have no information on him.
I can say that he was not killed or injured in the war.
I will, however, ask a friend that his father was in the SAS. Maybe he has informations... “
My research continues but if you have any information regarding SAS training in Malvern Wells during this period I would be very interested.
