Driver William Reginald Breeze qualified as a military parachutist on Course 102 which ran at RAF Ringway from 7 to 18 February 1944.
Bill served with No 1 Parachute Platoon 716 Coy during World War II but tragically lost his life in a swimming accident in Germany shortly after VE Day.
Driver Bill Breeze died, aged 20 years, on 13 May 1945 and is now buried at the World War II Cemetery in Berlin.
