Sergeant William Frederick Connolly was the son of Patrick and Ethel (nee Pepperell) Connolly, and husband of Megan Bevington Connolly (nee Cembury), of Great Tarpots, Essex. He served with 2nd Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers and took part in the Italian campaign.
He died on 28 February 1944, aged 22 years old. He is now buried at Sangro River War Cemetery, Italy.
