Sergeant William Birchall, son of John and Annie Birchall, husband of Irene Constance Birchall, of Harlesden, Middlesex, served with 6th (Royal Welch) Parachute Battalion. He took part in the invasion of Italy, during September 1943.
Sergeant Birchall died on 10 September 1943, aged 25 years old. He is now buried at Bari War Cemetery, Italy.
