Obituary
Private Vic Chapman
Private Vic Chapman was lost overboard whilst he was returning to England from Belfast 24 June 1970. Vic was a re-enlistment. He came back to the Regiment mainly because he missed the companionship of his platoon. A long time in the Battalion Mortars, he was the sort of soldier for which the Regiment is famous. He was a most hard-working and popular member of his platoon and company and never let anything get him down. This was particularly so in Belfast where he was inspiration to all.
